VidMN FAQs

You tell me by Emily Kueppers

This video is a legit proof that people can be unbelievably hyperactive and can have very short attention span at two in the morning. Hahaha. From her journal, to her “nice” shirt and the coconut over somewhere which she got from a friend… she has really given a whole new meaning to the word “random.” Her extreme randomness is in fact freaking me out, in a funny nice way though.

That part when she said she once told her aunt, “tie my shoes damn it” instead of saying please, I laughed so hard the coke burst out of my nose. And god she can sing! But she got me laughing again when she randomly switched to The Little Mermaid’s Part of that World. Hahahaha. I love this girl, especially when she says that original BYYYYYE before the music score at the end. Haha

Vidcon 2013 in California

Got information that the fourth VidCon is going to be held at the Anaheim Convention Center this coming August 1-3, the same place where last year’s VidCon took place. For three years now, VidCon has been the biggest gathering of people who make online videos. When it started in 2010, there were some 1200 participants in the gathering. Since then, more and more people have joined in the fun. In last year’s conference, Anaheim Convention Center gathered over 7000 video creators, viewers and industry representatives.

Vidcon 2013 in California

I am so excited for this event I am thinking of volunteering. Yeah, VidCon accepts volunteers too. In their website at VidCon.com, the volunteers’ jobs will range from assisting with a variety of tasks, organizing excitement, managing lines, helping at photo booths, and more.

Big names in the online video scene like Toby Turner, Dave Days and The Gregory Brothers are some of the special guests who have confirmed attendance in the event. I’ve heard that Sarah Bull, Tulleuchen and the rest of the Minnesota Youtubers are going to join the fun as well. So see you in California this August, guys? 🙂

Tulleuchen with the child Prodigy

The video title got me thinking that this was one of those infant-dubbing videos but it proved to be something different. That’s some crazy piano skills right there! That kid truly is a prodigy! Imagine a child like that actually playing that well. Hahaha. Took me some time to figure out the trick with that piano, though. Nevertheless, he looked like he was really the one playing it. The kid enjoyed pounding on the piano and making it sound like music. Hahaha.

(Title: Sorry This Channel Has Been Taken Over By An Infant, Be Back Later!)

I’m going to have my baby do the same thing and take a video of it. Only that I don’t have a baby yet, but when I do I will make him play like Beethoven or your baby. This is the kind that he’d love to watch when he grows older. He’d realize that he had force powers when he was young which enabled him to make the piano play by itself. Lol. I enjoy it everytime you post something family-oriented. A happy family is always such a delight. Had a good laugh watching this video. Let him do the drums next, perhaps? 🙂

How To Get A Detention by Zack Productions

I got myself to detention and it was fun, but I had different reasons. These are some neat ways to get yourself in trouble too though.

I personally like numbers 1, 6 and 8, although number 4 is quite like a second nature to me already haha. Also saw the bloopers. Had a good laugh with this video.

Make Me a YouTube Sensation

“Hey buddy, help me make the best video ever and become viral”. We hear these stories everyday, people want to be viral or a YouTube sensation overnight. Buddy, is not that simple.

When I hear these type of comments my blood beings to boil and front love artery starts to crack. May people believe that by just delivering a video on YouTube will make them an internet sensation, and because they think their video is great, their neighbor will think the same. The truth is, less than 0.00035% of content creators become viral with a couple videos, much less with one video. That means your chances to hit the Power Ball are higher. So, go play the PowerBall if you don’t believe in hard work.

Here are some resources I advise you to read if you want to learn how to make great videos and market them.

YouTube: and Video Marketing

YouTube: Online Video and Participatory Culture

YouTube for business

Non of these books are less than 140 pages each. If becoming an internet sensation is easy, then you wouldn’t need to read these books or use and expert’s help to make it happen.
In Minnesota and Wisconsin, the online marketing strategies for small and medium size business should use must be carefully crafted because, as any localized region in the world, we have a very niche subculture that can’t attack or jeopardize the Midwesterner way of thinking and behaving. There is a company in Minnesota called SpeaKco with very interesting strategies to help you deliver your content to this very specific market.

Can’t Hug Every Cat (Gregory Brothers Cover)

“Thinking about a cat, again, and again, and again”

Dan really? This is one of your best voices. We really like how high you were able to hit those note. Thank you for sharing your wonderful music with us.

We Love cats too, but we can’t love every cat, because that would be just too much, and gross.

Love Sarah Bull

Picture this, you are in your house chilling drinking orange juice, minding your own business, and all of sudden you stumble upon one of Sarah Bull’s videos at http://youtube.com/sarahbull — Explosion, something weird begins happening inside of you. What it is, no one knows, but for sure you can’t stop watching. Then you begin feeling empathy, and care, and an overwhelming desire to talk to this girl. Why, now one knows…
